About Us

OK...A little bit about GWWK's.

Some years back we decided to take a basic stain glass class at a local and most congenial shop here in Olympia, WA, the state's quaint capitol. This was all it took for us to fall in love with the craft & all its many possibilities.. Woodworking has been an avid lifetime pursuit of Larry's. Design, layout, colors & textures have been the lifetime passion of mine. We had no previous concept of how well those 2 different mediums would combine to create such wonderful results.

Glass offers the ability to work with subtle to brilliant colors, textures, & endless variations of iridized, mottled, streaky, wispy, etc. Create beautiful panels and suncatchers. The varying colors & textures of woods can allow for interestingly designed clocks & frames which can generate the something special that creates a complete & unique work of craftsmanship.

The incredible amount of worldwide talent that exists & is accessible today makes it difficult to be completely original. However, we exert exhaustive efforts to do so by creating most of our designs & patterns. We gladly give credit where credit is due when on occasion we do use another's pattern or are inspired by someone else's project.

Most appreciative regards to all who've taken the time to visit us,

Larry & Robin Hughes
